Residents of the area enjoy a large array of attractions and events, including arts festivals, recreational facilities, theaters, fitness centers, and sports centers. There is a strong focus on parks and nature reserves, with most of the cities in the Metroplex presenting extensive park systems over massive tracts of land set aside for rest, relaxation and renewal. There are hike and bike trails, ponds, pools, sporting fields and more. The more country-like the city, the wider array of parks and trail systems.
