The Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, also known as DFW or the Metroplex, is a the largest land–locked metropolitan area in the United States and the largest metropolitan area in the southern states. Moreover, the US Census Bureau recently released that the DFW area is the fastest growing metroplex in the United States adding aproximately 136,000 people in 2012 alone. Although it may sound over whelming, the population is well spread out with with over 6.6 million residents, covering over nine thousand square miles. The metroplex is a massive area that offers everything from big city living to country residences, all within reasonable distance. The two centers of the Metroplex are Dallas and Fort Worth, the two largest cities with the most residents, thousands of businesses including corporate headquarters and many other attractions in the realms of art, culture and fun.
